The textbook "Principles and practice of nurse prescribing" (Gould and Bain, 2022) introduced a new prescribing consultation model ("RAPID-CASE"). This model aimed to enable prescribers or students to outline clear steps to prescribing decisions, and was made available for use and evaluation. 

Following analysis of survey responses, the updated model PreSCRIBE SAFER is now available.

My Prescribing Workbook

The prescribing workbook is an Adobe form document and works best with Adobe Acrobat. However, you should also be able to access it with other apps, or print it out as a hard copy. 

The activities are optional and feedback is sought on whether further pages (e.g. personal formulary) would be useful. Please use the link to provide feedback and request extra pages be added as separate resources.
